reviewsWhat Members Say
Members consistently praise the welcoming atmosphere and strong community feel, with multiple reviewers noting they felt immediately accepted. Coaches receive specific commendation for their attentiveness and knowledge, particularly Kyla for her helpful communication and Greig for his expertise in adaptive training. The gym's focus on adaptive athletes makes it uniquely accessible, and its nonprofit model offering discounts to first responders and veterans is appreciated. Some visitors note that GPS directions can be slightly confusing at the very end, but this minor concern doesn't detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this gym. My heart has been searching for an Adaptive specialized gym for years and I was absolutely stunned and ecstatic to see one in Reno. This is the first place that made me feel comfortable attempting to work out post-diagnosis. The coaches are wonderful (huge shout out to Kyla for her attentiveness and patience) and the members are so welcoming and lovely. I was also lucky enough to meet Greig the first day that I visited. I was so impressed by his knowledge of both the human body and adaptations needed. They have regular community gatherings outside of workouts as well. This is the best Crossfit gym that I have attended since leaving my home gym in Washington. Regardless of circumstance, I'm a fan for life.

Really great vibe and energy level at this Reno based CrossFit gym located just minutes from the airport. If you’ve got an extra long layover, check the hours and you’d be far better off working out than sitting around the airport burning time doing nothing. I found this place with a simple Google search, reached out with an email ahead of my arrival. A *super helpful* Kyla responded, answered my specific questions, and I dropped by, signed a waiver (standard at all places), and within minutes was on the Concept2 RowErg for my daily workout session. HIGHLY recommend checking this place out if you’re visiting. If you live local, then I’m guessing you already know what I’ve just learned. (Note: The GPS driving directions are a tiny bit funky at the very end, so just ask if you can’t find the front door).

Dropped in from out of town. I visit a good number of CrossFit gyms on the road and I loved the experience here. Great facility, potentially better community. I’ll return next time I’m in town.

Love Upstate! Super grateful they are so welcoming to the entire reno/sparks community! They are a non-profit gym offering discounter or even free memberships to first responders and vets! They also host us with Reps4Recovery! Amazing place to get fit and become a part of an amazing community!

Not my home gym but have visited several times; great people, great equipment, and a cool focus on adaptive athletes. Highly recommend.
