I have practiced at many studios in Reno, New York City and Northern California, and Juice Box Reno by definitely my favorite. The space is very zen and clean, but the classes get down to business. Other studios can tend towards either too lax, too militant, or too corny, making yoga seem like a joke or a chore. Juice Box gets it right and I always leave feeling renewed. My favorite teacher is: all of them! Seriously, you will not be let down, and I am so thankful for this gem in my hometown!

When I first joined Juice Box Yoga after moving to Reno, I wasn’t sure what to expect. As someone who’s been a loyal Orangetheory and CorePower Yoga regular, I came in with a bit of skepticism, assuming it wouldn’t push me as hard as the studios I’d frequented in bigger cities. I’ll admit, my attitude was all wrong—but within just a few classes, I was humbled in the best way. The workouts are incredibly challenging, and they’ve pushed me to a whole new level of strength and endurance. The instructors push you in all the right ways, and the atmosphere is welcoming and uplifting. It’s a no-frills kind of place, but the community is amazing, and the cold lavender towel at the end of class? Absolute bliss—it’s the one frill I didn’t know I needed! If you’re looking for a studio that’s grounded, motivating, and delivers serious results, this is it. I love it here!

I realized I promised an update, but forgot to until JuiceBox replied to my review. As an update, I never have seen that instructor again, nor the Bikram classes at this location. But part of what I perceived to be a problem of bot seeing any good classes was because they were in the middle of switching from a different scheduling platform, and I couldn't see the change on the old app. However, they seemed to replace the Bikram class with a lovely 75 minute class that I've been attending almost every week. This and their 60min set sequence is fabulous. I'm quite fond of many of the instructors for both the 60 min hot, 75 minute Power Vinyasa, and an occasional Yin class. While I still go to another studio, I will likely keep the 75min Power Vinyasa on rotation. ****************************** I'm going to leave 3 stars for now....because I feel like I got bait and switched... twice. First, I signed up for my first class in July where they were having $10 drop ins. When I went, they said since it was my first visit I (and my husband) would be automatically enrolled in their two weeks for $20 unlimited membership. I didn't bother to worry about this and just tried to take as many classes as I could yo take advantage of this two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, I decided I loved (a couple of) the instructors I had, and would love to take them again, specifically Barry who taught the 90 minute Bikram. He was welcoming, encouraged us to come back, and had a great style I liked. My husband and I bought 15 classes each, which is NOT cheap ($500 total). We were tricked a bit because they offer a 10% discount for signing up un our first two weeks. We went home and immediately went to book another class with Barry, and he's not on the schedule at any of the Juice Box locations for the next two months. And neither is the 90 minute Bikram class that drew me in. My least favorite instructor is now on the schedule more often, not even for the Bikram class I took her for. I'll update my review if my perception changes, but I feel quite bait-and-switched at the moment. Right now, I prefer Yoga Six across the street.

Great classes, they push you so hard but it feels so good. The energy is great, the instructors are great, the classes are great. This would be a 5 star review but the one downside (that’s honestly a huge downside in my opinion) is the occupancy limit. These classes are VERY full. To the point that I’ve been kicked multiple times during class, and the person next to me leg is over my mat and I have to back up. Juice box, you’re amazing and you will always have money flowing in from how much we all love our classes, but pleaseee make the occupancy limit less than what it is now. It’s so uncomfortable.

Overall these are fun classes and a good workout. The only downside is the instructors don’t seem to need any sort of fitness background to teach. They often perform instruction with poor form and state that you should be working a particular muscle when it’s not the correct muscle group for that specific exercise. They memorize lines and use a timer and have zero actual knowledge of fitness. If you are hoping to learn how your body works invest in a real trainer. Regardless of that the constant movement and heat make this a great workout and the woman that take the classes are extremely motivating! I do recommend giving it a try.
