My 10 year old son LOVES his workouts with athletic republic. The coaches are super knowledgeable and safe which is my number 1 priority as a parent. They are also extremely kind, fun and encouraging which is a wonderful fit for the kids that attend. The facility is clean and well maintained. In addition to our loving the facility, program and coaches, my son has also seen progress which is really exciting to him.

Both my son and daughter love Athletic Republic! My son was looking for a way to improve his overall athletic ability and has noticed a difference in his speed and form when running since he started working out at AR. My younger daughter has enjoyed the group classes and loves the workout as well. My only complaint is that I don't love the layout of the app they use to book classes. Such a great gym!

I was recently asked where I work out and why. What was it about the facility that kept me coming back? My initial response was, “I train at Athletic Republic because it is not just another workout”. Though in my typical fashion, I then broke down what that statement really means to me. I have boiled it down to three key words. Perception, Time, & Value Perception - I’ve always worked out in some way, the workouts changed over the years, though I always felt like I was giving it a good attempt. Now that I’m in my mid 40’s workouts, for whatever reason, became less about pushing myself and more about completing the task. It started to feel stale, repetitive, and quite frankly like your stereo typical workday. Thankfully I stumbled upon Athletic Republic when they first opened and attended a session that invigorated me. They had sessions and not just workouts. Workouts appear to be geared towards the masses and therefore become repetitive, while in these sessions we train and focus on “Strength, Agility, Endurance, (and a couple others I can’t remember)” which build the base for an athlete. This athletic mindset is ingrained at Athletic Republic and for someone who hadn’t viewed myself as an athlete in some time, I am beyond grateful that they have helped change my perception and have reminded me of what I am capable of accomplishing. This is reason enough for why I continue to support Athletic Republic and believe others should give them an opportunity, but for those still needing encouragement or that extra voice saying give them a chance, I’ve got a couple of other reasons. Time - Time is our most valuable resource. I am constantly massaging the schedule so everything can fit in. Unfortunately like many others the one who suffers when there just isn’t enough time is me. We learn or train ourselves to alter the schedule, squeeze in events, squeeze in meals, squeeze in workouts, etc… So, with that in mind I’ve tried a handful of facilities in the area, personal trainers, web apps, home gym, and the list goes on, all in the hopes of solving part of the time equation. Each of the different workout “solutions”, solved part of the equation but it was always fleeting and then time would inevitably become an issue once again. Rinse and repeat, on and on and on. While the sessions at Athletic Republic are the standard 1-hour, that many other gyms have, these just feel different. Within the session YOUR time is maximized for results, proper warm-up, focused session based on the above-mentioned categories, functional session, cool down. It finally felt like the time I was investing was worth it again, which leads to Value. Value - When looking back on my workout journey, I uncovered that I no longer saw the value in workouts. I continued to work out because it was what I expected of myself and therefore had to check the box. Though after joining Athletic Republic and seeing that these sessions are built to help maximize my results in the time allotted, along with the fact that they don’t treat/view me as just another “semi-fit” guy (perception), the value received through these sessions has returned. Again, I’m grateful that I have been able to find joy in training and look forward to the next session rather than dread the next workout. Apologies in advance for sales pitchy ending, I don’t frequently provide reviews though Athletic Republic is more than worth the time and effort. For anyone looking to try something different or potentially reignite some of the athlete in you that has been forgotten, I’d suggest dropping in for a session at Athletic Republic.
