Many highlight owner Chris and the staff as exceptionally friendly, helpful, and passionate about creating a welcoming, non-intimidating atmosphere for all fitness levels. Several reviewers specifically mention the reasonable pricing compared to crowded budget gyms and high-end clubs, making it an attractive value proposition. I’ve trained at several gyms in vegas over the years. Yaks is one of the greats. They have all the right tools if you’re training for bodybuilding or other styles. Staff is super nice, gym is clean, and all the equipment works and isn’t broken all the time. Not crowded like most places so you don’t have to wait for people sitting on their phones. Recommend if you’re a novice or pro in the gym their machines and weight selection cater to everyone.

Hands down best gym in the valley. Great staff, great equipment, overall great place to get a workout in. I've been going here for 2 years and I've never had to wait for a piece of equipment. Everyone I've met has been friendly but never in your face or pushy. Very comfortable non-intimidating environment with a good mix of clientele. The owner (Chris) is a standup dude and you can tell he's passionate about the gym and his clients.

Nothing short of 5 stars here at Yak’s. Was so impressed after the 3 day trial that I decided to join. The cleanliness is 2nd to none and the lighting outshines any gym I’ve ever been to. The reason you want to sign up here (approx $50 / month) is bc it’s better than the crowded cheap membership gyms ($10) but more reasonable than the high end body builder clubs ($100). All the machines work perfect and the benches are super comfy with new leather upholstery. They have a good locker room too. Overall come in and at least check it out, meet the owner Chris (super nice guy btw) and prepare to have a great workout!

I just moved to Las Vegas and was looking for a gym I could go to 3–5 times a week before or after work. Since I’m new to the area, I wanted to actually try a few gyms first to see what made sense for my schedule, location, equipment they offered, and how busy they get. Looking online on Yak’s Fitness they advertised a 3-day free trial. Turns out, the “free trial” isn’t really a trial at all. Upon entering a man greeted me and showed me a tour of the gym. Immediately after he told me to have a seat, and put paperwork of rates in front of me. I was very confused. I was told the 3-day pass is only valid if you sign up for a membership and pay that day. The memberships offered were either for a one month ($139) , a biweekly payment for monthly plan of ($49), or a full year (or two) paid upfront with a certain amount of months for free depending on a year or two. I honestly couldn’t believe it. If you’re paying and committing immediately, that’s absolutely not a free trial. I was immediately so uncomfortable. I told the guy I wasn’t aware of this based on my text messages with Hiyabel and that I thought I was just getting set up to try the gym over the next 3 days to get a feel of it and see if it would be a right fit for me. He then said, “Well go head and just get a work out in right now and we’ll talk after about his (referring ti the paperwork infront of me)!!” I was literally still in my office clothes — I wasn’t there to work out, I was there under the impression to get set up for my trial and use it within the week. When I said politely that this felt very rushed and I needed time to think and asked if I could take the pricing paperwork with me to review, I was told he can’t let you leave with the rates they don’t like to disclose this information to the public. Huge red flag!!! Everything felt so off and wrong!!! The whole experience felt pushy, misleading, and uncomfortable. Definitely not how you treat someone who’s genuinely interested in becoming a regular member. I won’t be joining and wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone looking for a true trial or transparent pricing.
