Yak's is an amazing place to lift while you're in Vegas. It is exceptionally clean, the cables/machines are very well maintained, and the equipment is basically brand new. There are dumbbells up to 125 w every increment needed, power racks and benches w plenty of plates, and an Olympic setup w 2 racks and tons of bumper plates. No matter if youre a local or a tourist, Yak's has what you need to get in a solid workout.

Stopped by for a weekend pass, gotta say it’s a great gym! Had a brand of cable machines I’ve never seen before they were a level or two above what I’ve experienced in the past when I drop in at big box gyms like PF or 24hr. For example, the chest press machines and bicep curl machines actually felt like they were isolating my muscles properly. Very smooth cable action as well. Do recommend

Chris operates his business by running the old bait and switch to get customers in the door. I found his business through a Facebook add that said a free 30 day trial was being offered. I set up a consultation December 1st and when I brought up the free 30 day trial he told me he wasn't doing it and the membership was $400 a month. I let him know i didn't have $400 and he said I could pay $200 every 2 weeks which I agreed to because I believed in his program and he seemed like a nice guy. 1/28/26 a family emergency occurred and I let Chris know that I needed to cancel my membership due to having to move. My last day was 2/6/26 but I was charged again on 2/7/26 although I canceled. I disputed the charge and tried to get a refund from Chris because Im no longer able to attend the gym which was why I canceled. He declined to give me a refund saying I signed a 30 day cancel policy but how can I give a 30 day notice when a family emergency occurs? He said he would have to pay out of pocket which he wasn't willing to do and said he wishes there was something he could do. If that were true why not just give me my money back for services that were not rendered...your the owner of the business. In my opinion if someone pays for something but doesn't get the services they should get a refund because its simply the right thing to do. I cant get my $200 back but I will be filing a complaint with the BBB because bait and switch is considered fraud and it's illegal. I have pictures of text messages with me reaching out about the free trial and a picture of the charge that I paid 12/1/26 but went through on the 2nd because I was told the free trial wasn't an option. Chris cares about the money, he doesn't care about actually helping folks. $200 isn't small potatoes for me. I made a sacrifice to invest in myself and ultimately got screwed.
