I’m sorry for some that didn’t have the best experience from this studio but I personally enjoyed most teachers classes including Monica, Gigi, Alyce, Jaliya and Hannah, Jenny! I’ve had bad experience in a few other yoga studios in NY previously and I understand how the teachers action and reaction can impact the teaching and how the students feel. Comparing to what I’ve had, this place is amazing. Now I believe if you show your efforts to be on time, to follow the studio rules, the teachers will see and return the same respect to you, which is what I received in return here. Because after all you agreed to all the terms before you book a class here. Respects are mutual and I’m so happy of all the terrible things happening in the world I get a little zen time in this nice place.

I was hesitant to start reformer pilates since I had never used the machines before, but now I can honestly say I’ve developed a passion (maybe even a little obsession!) for it. FYI I’ve gone to 26 classes so far, including Cadillac- which might even be my favorite. Every instructor is unique yet so knowledgeable and emphasizes the importance of alignment and posture, while also offering modifications so you feel both challenged and supported no matter your level. The studio has such a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere that makes every class something I look forward to. I also appreciate their clear cancellation policy, it’s a fair way to honor other members eager to book a spot. Having a monthly membership is a huge bonus because it allows me to schedule classes well in advance, which really helps me stay consistent. I’m so glad I took the leap! Pilates has quickly become one of the best parts of my day.

I love this studio but $209 a month for everything to be on a waitlist except for weight training. 3 month minimum contract to be on standby on my phone and wait for people to cancel last minute? They either need more classes for regular reformer or they need to stop allowing people to sign up here.

While taking Cadillac 101 with Hannah the metal spring band snapped on my foot at full extension. A spring that she the instructor had placed on my machine. She never stopped to ask if I was okay and continued with the class. After class I asked for a refund because my foot was in a lot of pain. The girl at the front desk immediately dismissed me and told me to take it up with the instructor. Hannah gave me a number to call for my refund. I called, left a message and no one replied nor was I refunded. Had that band snapped near my face it would have broken a tooth or cause a serious permanent injury. While it is a beautiful studio, please invest into your equipment as well. I wanted to continue my Cadillac journey but no longer feel comfortable in these classes. What a shame

I usually enjoy the classes at Sunday Pilates and have taken Athletic Reformer many times, but my experience with Monica today was disappointing. She was rude and passive-aggressive toward me. Near the end of class, she asked if I had ever taken this class before and whether I had taken Pilates 101, and I found that comment very offensive given my experience level. It made me uncomfortable and honestly made me not want to return. I also want to mention that her class was nearly empty with only six people, so even if she felt I “wasn’t experienced enough,” I wasn’t taking anyone’s spot. The interaction felt unnecessary and discouraging.
