I can’t recommend Teya enough! Teya creates such a welcoming and encouraging environment. Her knowledge of form and technique is incredible — she explains movements clearly, offers hands-on corrections when needed, and always made sure I felt confident and supported. Whether you’re a beginner (like me), or more advanced, you’ll leave feeling stronger and accomplished every time. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a motivating, skilled, and supportive Pilates instructor!

As a chiropractor and former Olympic weightlifter, I have always wanted to experience one on one Pilates, but I never found an instructor who felt both precise and principled in their approach. There are many studios offering Pilates, but Stance is truly different. Teya is a dedicated student of the original work of Joseph Pilates, who originally called his method Contrology, emphasizing the mind’s ability to control the muscles. That philosophy deeply resonates with me, both professionally and personally. As a chiropractor and as someone who is becoming more intentional about aging well, I value the ability to consciously control and coordinate my muscles so I can continue to thrive in my overall health. From our very first session, Teya was thoughtful, attentive, and remarkably precise. She was able to identify my dysfunctions with accuracy, which was especially meaningful during a challenging season of my life that ultimately led to a hysterectomy. Throughout my recovery, she guided me safely through movement and helped me reconnect with my deeper core musculature as I healed from surgery. Since beginning sessions with her, I have confidently referred my own patients. I trust her work, her knowledge, and her commitment to true Pilates.
