Working with Osi is one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and fitness. She has a warm, approachable energy that is fun to work with. No matter your fitness level, she makes you feel comfortable and not judged. Osi takes her work seriously and truly cares about her clients. What I appreciate most is how attentive she is to injuries or specific pains. She really listens, asks the right questions, and designs workouts that support your body instead of pushing it in ways that could cause harm. After every workout she reaches out to ask how you felt during the session, and if you have any pain or sore muscles she needs to know about. I couldn’t ask for a better trainer!

I started weight training about 10 years ago with a personal in my early 20s because I wanted to gain more muscle, but it ended up causing back and other issues that never went away even as I tried different trainers and different workout programs. I developed chronic persistent muscle tension in my back, neck and upper traps, my muscles were not recovering quickly enough from one workout session to another and I would keep getting minor injuries to my ankles or wrists that would cause me to have to take a break from working for a few weeks at least a couple times a year, so I really was not making much progress and overall I still didn’t feel physically. I have mild scoliosis but I did ballet and yoga growing up with no issues, no symptoms, it was only after working with that first trainer in my early 20s that I developed all these multitude of symptoms. Osi was the next trainer that I was going to try, because I was not giving up even though no other trainer I worked me really understood the issues I was having. It’s been life changing. I’ve always known that I’m not someone who can just be treated like a generic client and given generic workout plans, because I have very specific issues that need to be addressed. Working with Osi and in conjunction with the physical therapist that she works with, we discovered that in basically every workout I did, I was constantly holding tension in my neck and upper traps, and not really working the correct muscle group in all the different exercises. During my sessions with Osi, we tried a lot of different exercises that slowly taught me how to activate my weaker muscle groups, and how to use them correctly in the exercises. No other trainer has ever done this before. Most trainers would just ask if I’m feeling it in the muscle they expect me to feel it in, and if I say no, they just assume I need more weight and pile on weights on me which only exacerbate my neck and back tension, and trainers would just tell me to stretch more. Osi actually bothered to ask where I’m feeling it instead and looked into shifting for example, if you’re not feeling it instead the biceps or chest, where are you feeling it instead? Neck? Triceps? Somewhere else? Then she would change the exercise because of she’s trying to get me to feel my chest, we keep trying different workouts or using lighter weights until I feel my chest, while she’s also looking at my posture and adjusting as we go. The first time I did the elevated push up exercise with her, I told her I felt it in my biceps, neck, upper traps and triceps. It took a couple of weeks and trying different exercises but now I can finally do an assisted push up with no neck or upper traps tension, and I feel my chest muscles working for the first time in my life probably. It’s also helped with the some of the at home exercise that the physical therapist we work me have me, to activate my more dormant muscles. For me, it’s almost a miracle that I can actually now feel the muscles I’m supposed to feel during my workouts, and not feeling the constant neck and upper traps tension. To put it in perspective, in the past, I was deadlifting maybe 70 lbs and feeling all this crazy tension after the workout for days, but not gaining that much muscle. Now with Osi, after months of working together, I’ve worked my way up to deadlifting about 25lbs, and I’m actually gaining about the same amount of muscle I used to with heavier weights, and all the pain and discomfort has significantly gone down and I’ve not had a single random injury for months, so unlike before, I can actually keep going to compound on the gains. And the effects on daily life is a whole other thing, just to feel my body being so much more relaxed at work, going out, sleeping, etc no more intense nagging muscle tension and seeing in pictures how much my posture has improved. I feel better than I have in years, I look better, the improvement is significant eventhough to some it might look like I’m lifting light weights, but it goes to show how important it is to do the workouts right.

Osi’s approach is truly exceptional and a breath of fresh air compared to typical personal training programs. I came in with long-term posture and spine-related issues, expecting the standard routine of heavy weights and cardio. Instead, Osi took the time to thoroughly review my health history and target the root cause of my issues through a highly specialized lens. We both share the philosophy of health over wealth and quality over quantity, and that really shows in her work. She developed a customized list of exercises specifically targeted at my needs, and the results have been noticeably helpful. Osi pays incredible attention to detail, making sure I perform every movement exactly the way she wants to ensure it's effective. If you are looking for an expert who focuses on long-term wellness and functional health rather than just a generic workout, I cannot recommend her enough!

I’ve been training with Osi at Osi Body Fit, and it has been such a positive experience! Osi has really helped me get stronger, and I love how much attention she gives to form and muscle specificity. I know I’m working the right areas and getting the most out of every session. The gym itself is super welcoming, with a cute atmosphere and plenty of equipment to keep things fun and challenging. What I appreciate most, though, is how much Osi truly cares about her clients. She listens, supports, and works with me every step of the way. If you’re looking for a trainer who’s both knowledgeable and genuinely invested in your progress, I can’t recommend Osi and her gym enough!
